September has been a very busy month with the completion and handover on numerous projects.

The Riverside project in Stafford, a mixed use Retail development constructed by a good customer of ours, Simons construction Group, has kept us very busy with a number of contracts totalling over 12,000m2. We have completed work on the new Marks and Spencer and Primark stores on this site along with floor preparation on a number of other units.

Andy Hall has turned out another great project with McLaughlin and Harvey at M+S Biggleswade (5000m2), following up the success of M+S Longbridge last year. This is proving to be a fantastic partnership. Well done Andy.

Primark Carlisle proved to be a challenging project for Chris Higham. The refurbishment of an old retail unit at The Lanes shopping centre was finally completed under difficult circumstances.

September also seen the opening of a new Jaguar Landrover showroom in west London. The project was very demanding and quality had to be of the highest order.

September has also seen continued success with shopping centre refurbishments, contracts have recently commenced in St. Johns Liverpool (4500m2) and The Darwin Centre Shrewsbury (2200m2). Darwin is challenging as this is a live mall refurbishment where we are having to make sure that the mall is fully open for trading after every night shift.

On a lighter note special recognition must be paid to one of our fitting crews. Warren Rugg (wlrflooring@gmail.com) came to the rescue of a damsel in distress whilst completing M+S Simply Food Crawley. A freezer unit unexpectedly broke down 2 days before hand over. Warren, along with his team, filled their van full of frozen produce and transported it a few miles into the main M+S store in Crawley. Not once but three times. “Warren Rugg, our knight in shining armour, well a white transit van !!!”
